Over the past decade, global PCB production has largely shifted to Asia, particularly mainland China, due to strong domestic market demand and manufacturing advantages. China's PCB industry grew rapidly, with output rising from $3.368 billion in 2000 to $21.636 billion in 2012, making it the world's largest PCB producer. The industry is expected to continue its rapid growth, with a projected annual growth rate of 6.0% from 2012 to 2017, reaching $289.72 billion and accounting for 44.13% of global PCB output.
